Copyright material ploy

Google's "Adsense" program has decided to stop ad serving to the Home website because we are distributing copyright material. They seem to have conveniently ignored the fact that we either hold the copyright or are authorized by the copyright holder to distribute the material!

As soon as they notified me, I wrote back to them explaining that we are authorized to distribute the material there. I also asked them if they have received any notification of any alleged copyright infringement by my site, but they have failed to reply to any of the THREE messages I sent them

What is interesting is that the site has been operating like this for two years without any problems. It is only now that earnings are starting to accumulate in the account (and during a major financial crisis, interestingly enough) that Google have "noticed" this and decided that it is a problem. Just to repeat: I AM ONLY DISTRIBUTING MATERIAL THAT I EITHER OWN OR AM AUTHORIZED TO DISTRIBUTE BY THE OWNERS.

I am wondering if Google now feels the need to find pretexts to find fault with partners to whom it owes money. I am not suggesting for a minute that my modest earnings alone will make a difference to a company the size of Google. But multiply what happened to me by millions of other users and you can imagine how much money they will save - and that could help any company that needs to save money at all costs.

I therefore ask if any other Google adsense users have had their accounts frozen on a similar false pretext?

I have read many posts where people have their account frozen.Some with US40.00 in the account and then non refunded.Add up these amounts and you will be surprised.Apparently you can then go back in and open another account and start over again.That is unethical as far as I am concerned on the part of Google.So I agree with you.And comment above dont be so hard.The person is new and probably still trying to navigate around

I was a bit harsh regarding the comment on the reply to my message.

I also agree with you about Google. They are actually quite happy if one opens a new account. They can do the same thing again when the money mounts up and keep pocketing the money again and again.

By my understanding the willful withholding of other people's money is fraud. The question is how one can enforce the law against a company as large as Google.
