Question about clicking on your own Adsense links.

Hello,

My questions are:

- Because the ads are relevant to my site, and I am interested in the things on my site, I want to click the ad(s) to see the product. However, I am afraid that if I do then Google will charge me with click-fraud and I'll loose the Adsense privilege. Am I being too paranoid and should not worry about checking out the product? Or, is that something I should not do?

- If I can't click on the ad(s) then how do I know if it is a site of, say, questionable content that I don't want someone going to perhaps because of bad products or business practices? I think it is fair to want to see who is selling what on my site.

Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Thanks!

NEVER click your own ads!!

And if you do, contact the AdSense support and tell them about it.

To look at the site, simply copy the url displayed above the ad.

I also have this problem some times.
I would like to visit the sites promoted on my sites.
Using firefox browser is quite simple to open a new tab and copy there the domain name that is shown in the ads anyway.

A problem that occur is that because of the adsense rule that forbid to click ads on my own sites I am trained not to click on google ads, and I don't do it also on other sites many times.

google isn't going to suspend your account if you click on an ad or 2 from your own site, they arn't nazi's and they wont suspend your account unless its obvious your getting fraudulent clicks just to cheat the system

but..as someone said your best bet would be to right click and hit properties copy the link and then open a new page

chronic420 -
I just got an email from Google AdSense that told me that I had fraudulent activity on my acount - because I had 2 clicks from my site while I was on it. (I was testing the pages to see what content was going to get served, and the first was intentional, but hte second one was accidental)

So, they are watching, and I'd HIGHLY ADVISE clicking on your own site...

another curious part to this story. My AdSense account is with my Gmail email account. I just logged into my gmail account - and the email that mentioned the fraudulant activity has been completely wiped. It's nowhere to be found, OR my reply email...

Interesting eh?
