Goggle Support Gains Increasing Notoriety On The Web!

Rather than post the entire recent email conversations between ‘Google AdWords Support’ and myself I recount below the essence of the exchange which I have paraphrased to make for easier reading.

I did however print and send the emails by registered mail to Google customer Service at Mountain View, CA 94043 this morning.

MR is from me and GAW is Google AdWords.

MR. – My first email simply asked why my ads had stopped running when my account was funded.

GAW - It has come to our attention that your Google AdWords accounts do not comply with our terms of service and advertising policies. As a result, your accounts have been suspended and your ads will no longer run on Google

MR. – I checked the terms of service and nothing in them relates to my sites or my actions. Please let me know in what way my Google AdWords accounts do not comply with your terms of service. I am advertizing ClickBank products that Google Adwords run all the time.

(and after my two short and very polite emails I received the following)

GAW – Our phone team was unable to resolve the issue. “please refrain from repeatedly contacting our team. Thank you for your cooperation”.

MR. – On my application I gave my U.K. address but I’m working as a teacher in Israel and the original form did not allow me to enter a non-U.K. phone number. If that is the problem then please contact me on 972 – xxx – xxxx.

(a different support person emailed me)

GAW – “We do not currently offer formal phone support”.

(Which conflicts with the original reason that was given above)

We will investigate the problem and get back to you shortly.

MR. I gave the new support person the above information that I was working in Tel Aviv and again gave my contact phone number.

GAW – Please note that this is a “normal procedure which every account goes through”.

MR. – I thanked the person for the quick response and added that perhaps there was a problem that I had opted to pay Irish VAT because I am not a company and confirmed that I wasn’t a company.

GAW – . It has come to our attention that your and advertising policies. As a result, your accounts have been suspended and your ads will no longer run on Google.

MR. – Please tell me in which way I breached the conditions?

(I finally realized that all was not as it should be. Misinformation about phone calls and after cancelling my ads, telling me.)

"Please note that this is a normal investigation procedure which every account goes through. We're currently investigating your account and will provide you with an update shortly".

MR. – Something is obviously not right here. Since getting a very rude reply at the onset I have been given no reason as to why my account was suspended. A simple apology plus restarting my campaign would have been sufficient to bring about an amiable resolution to this matter. If the above is not forthcoming I will be forced to contact U.S. support in order to take the matter further.

GAW - We would like to reiterate that your Google AdWords accounts does not comply with our terms of service and advertising policies. As a result, your account has been suspended and your ads will no longer run on Google.

MR. – It’s a pity that you don’t want to conclude this matter in an amicable way so I will forward a printout of our emails to U.S. support. I just ran some ads with MS AdCenter and their support called me several times to see if I needed any additional help and I will of course be able to recommend them without reservation.


Needless to say I didn’t even venture into the matter of getting my money back.
