GOOGLE ADWORDS OFFICIALLY SUCK! here why...

i dont know whats happening, or if theres more changes gonna happen...

but it seems google is getting expensive! Try using ad word analyzer... and put the keywords you get and ill bet you cant get those keywords activated for .06 cents!

and how about the gurus raving love affair of high CTR! its poof!
CTR means nothing now coz it wont help you get to #1...CTR used to help you get high positions rather than spending bucks, but no more.
It seems it now just baised on how much u pay to get it active! I think im going back to overture...

GOOGLE ADWORDS SUCKS!

The "new" adwords is a bunch of crap.

Example got keyword MAX CPC $.10 CTR 1.9% Avg postion 2.1 all decent numbers. Inactive raise quality or increase bid to $.30. The avg CPC is only $.06 why the hell should I raise it to $.30 when six cents gets me the number 2 spot.

Example 2. Another keyword max cpc $.05 average position 3.9. CTR 2.9% . Increase bid to $.50 cents. What if I'd rather be in the 4-5 spot.

Put me on the second or third page. I for one don't want to spend all my time watching the numbers. It is some ploy to rocket the adword revenue.

yeah... and what does google mean of optimizing to lower the max cpc... does it mean that i have to spend that high just so i can optimize it?

adwords better revert to the older one, coz this is outragously crap!

just a question -

I will state for the record that since I do SEO for a living, I am biased to doing things the organic way.

If you are spending "X" amount on PPC per month, why not take that money (or at least 1/2) and spend it on seo?

Ultimately, you'll get high rankings, and you won't need to spend on the PPC...

I totally agree with your approach. I do seo part-time as well. When I use adwords it's for affiliate stuff where I have no control over the website. With google also admitting to "sandboxing" new sites, It's also(was) a good way to get traffic jump started. As an seo you should know rank and position don't change over night. And with the right program $5.00 for 100 targeted visitors can be profitable. I for one have always thought Search engine optimization was the way to go. And after the adwords thing I really think more people should look into it. I know people making huge bucks promoting 10-20 different programs and they are hit hard by this adwords change.

SEOforGoogle,

I perfectly understand what you're suggesting. I even has a websited indexed with google. I'm building the site to have more content.

But, But, Adwords is also one of my source of income.
I test it with new markets, or product ideas. Because instant it gives valuable data and saves time. In fact i try to make money through adwords then if ok, ill make a website.

But this new update is purely crap...
Remember that google's edge in the ppc market is factoring the CTR on to get the #1 spot.

Then what happens when you have no edge in the market now?

Good question.

I wish I had an answer, but I don't use AdWords currently - But I do agree that if you can get 100 targeted visitors to your site for $5, that's certainly well worth the money.

the price goes up is not a big matter, the important is the marginal benefit goes up since many competitor lose, cannot afford the price.

hahaha... I really cant believe that you made that comment just to sound smart!

1) Yes it does bring down the competion, but ask yourself if you can still make money with raising of prices, if u are, u might be smarter that I thought...

2) Do u know that majority of google's advertisers are small businesses? which cannot afford increase in prices... If you think that irrelevant, that my friend is one of the edge of google against overture!
without that edge they have nothing...

3) And it is said because of small business who advertis with google, they tend to have patronage to use is it as their primary search engine... and now theyre pissed off, u do the math...

Trust me jed_baguio is not the only adwords users ticked off. Less adwords users = Less CPC = Lower Adsense PPC. While your plug for adsense is valiant. With yahoo's ads program in beta and people ticked at adwords. This can't be a good move for google.
