Guilty by Association
I think Google has finally crossed the line.
Back on September 1st, my personal Adsense account was terminated by Google. Then today at work (9.7.05) I got an email form Google saying that because my employer's account was associated to another that was shut down due to click fraud, they had disabled my employer's account as well. Here's the email: Hello, Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your account. Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected advertisers. As outlined in our program Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right to terminate any publisher's participation at any time. Sincerely, The Google Team What a bunch of non-sense this is... |

I have been in conversations with them, and I explained everything mentioned above, and they said they would re-evaluate my employer's account.
In the meantime, I have moved on to KaXoom, and so far, the average is $.30 per click! |

UPDATE!
Google has re-enstated my employers account, but still won't do the same for my personal account.
O-well, Yahoo is slated for release on October 18th, and how much you want to bet that they will allow people to advertise the word "Google"? |

What did your site do to be considered "click-fraud"? It seems too many people are getting this accusation and then claiming it wasn't them.
I think it might happen to me because the site asks people to help us out by paypal or contacting me, but no emails or paypal, but $17 through adsense with under 100 hits. I like the sig on yulia's post. I wonder what rules she broke? I don't know the newest ones, but back when i joined, it was primarily don't spam and don't say BS. |
