Probably not much. Only you know the exact circumstances, but I would suspect that you had one account that was disabled, and then you applied for an account for the same website in another family member's name. They don't want people messing in the system and then resigning with another name whenever they get caught.

If you have been canned, you have been canned. It's pretty much just that simple.

I encountered this exact same situation, but was able to get my account restored.

Politely write them an email asking them to show you the connection - sometimes if you log in from the same ip, they'll ban you.

Keep on sending them emails - they'll respond - unless your situation is where you already had an account and tried to get another one with almost the same info, you will be SOL.

In the meantime, maybe you should join Yahoo's Publisher network - I've been doing 4 times better with that than I ever did with Google.

You can try, but probably not. I've never seen Google try to PROVE anything to anyone. If you know what they are talking about, really don't bother. If you don't, then provide them with as much personal detail as you can and maybe something there will show them they are wrong.

As for continuing to contact them until they respond, their policy seems to be one of 'when they are done with you, they are done with you', and I have even seen it suggested that your email address goes on their black list to toss it. At best, I'd suggest you have one chance at this.

My personal adsense account has been banned since August, but I am still in conversation with the Adsense team - at least 2 emails per week -

I've been pestering them to prove that I am guilty of click fraud - and until they show me proof, I will continue the emails.

Are they answering you?

I'm not saying that you shouldn't try as miracles do happen. But you should understand that this isn't an "innocent till proven guilty" scenario. If you are thinking they MUST prove you guilty, then you are thinking of this in terms of litigation or prosecution. This is not that. Beyond what "facts" may or may not exist in your case:

1) Google (or you) can cancel your contract for any reason and neither has to prove anything to anyone. You had an "at-will" agreement. They could just as well have terminated the contract because they don't like your shoes, and that cancellation would be just as legal.

2) They don't need to argue or prove anything to anyone. In their opinion, arguing with folks they don't do business with is a waste of time. If you aren't seeing some movement in the last 3 months, you never will. No telling how many publishers they have, but it's probably in the millions and that means at least 10's of thousands of email today, 99.9% of which they handle with canned responses. If they have done anything with your email, it's probably to put a filter on it. I'd bet $$ that they don't even see it.

3) Legally speaking, the only thing you might have on Google would be for what you think they owe you from before they cancelled your agreement. From that standpoint only would they ever have to defend a charge against you of click-fraud. But again, that would only apply to that money that you had earned to that point. It would not get you reinstated.

All that said, I admire your willingness to stick to it. Please let us know if anything you've done gets them to reconsider your account.

Yes - they are answering me, and each time I get a glimpse into how and why they make their determinations.

Sure, they always point to their TOS, and as you mentioned, both Google or I can cancel the agreement at any time.

My arguement is that I am not asking them to be re-activated, instead, I am asking them to show me in explicit detail, the supposed click fraud activity.

Prior to my account being disabled, I got a warning email from them that said they suspected fraudulent activity: At that point I immediately took down all my Adsense ads of all my sites.

I even contacted them and asked them if they could tell me what the offending IP addresses were, so that I could ban them from ever reaching my sites; I even provided my tracking stats of site activity.

I think because I was pro-active, and fully willing to work with them to find out where the click fraud was coming from, and the fact that they sent me a warning before banning my site indicates one thing to me:

They weren't sure.

That's why they continue to communicate with me - they know I was pro-active, they even gave me a warning, and they still banned me without proof.

As I said before, I don't even want to be re-activated in Google; I'm in Yahoo and making 4 times as much - at this point all I want is for them to admit that they really aren't positive, they are going on a "gut" feeling.

If this ever gets resolved, I'm going to post all of the email conversations that took place.

yes - my employer was(is) using adsense and because I checked the account status from the same pc at work, they just assumed both accounts were guilty.

After various emails explaining my side of it, they re-enstated my employers account.
