Domain Name & Webhost for SEO on Adsense site

hi,

i have a question. does the webhost influence the amount of traffic that goes through your adsense site?

I asked this because im planning to register my (very 1st) own site, and im looking for pointers on a good google adsense site webhost.

before, i used free subdomains to host my site. and i noticed that, even though i have exactly the same content on two different free subdomain providers, my ranking on search engines for each provider arent the same. so i assumed that the subdomain provider (or probably the webhost) has something to do with the site's search engine optimization. is there any truth to my claim?

It could if the hosts server is offline. Other than that, it's not like they will go onto your pages and block the Adsense code.
