Adsense for me?
Hi everyone!
I'm new to adsense and haven't used it, but was very interested after seeing the possibilities of this passive income stream. Here's my question: Do you think it would be worthwile on a site that is supposed to direct business to me? I am a real estate consultant and have been pretty successful at driving traffic to my site as it's aimed to be more of a community rather than an auto-biography (unlike other agents), but its aimed to bring me business. So would adding adsense enable the possiblity of someone clicking on another agents ad in my adsense "box"? That's the last thing I want! Your opinions and takes would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! |

Well, they do provide for some degree of filtering, because of concerns like yours, but there are no guarantees.
It seems like something you'd have to monitor closely. https://www.google.com/support/adsen...=9716&ctx=top5 |

That exactly what I was looking for, and looks like it's more of a manual type of filter. I am on my site daily so perhaps I could just heavily monitor the site - so like physik said, I'll give it a go since I really have nothing to lose.
I just hope a prospective client doesn't click on another realtors ad that I didn't catch! |

Yes, I imagine that it would take rather a few clicks to make up for a lost commission, in your line of work.
You'd also want to closely watch visitor feedback. Some people can react very strongly to the size, placement, or even just the presence of ads. |

I think that's the reason I've been so hesitant about placing ads in the first place. Right now, my site is totally ad-free, but does have a space for advertisements.
I just can't think of an advertisement based on the content of my site that in some way wouldn't be stealing business from me. Especially when losing a potential client could cost me $2-3k US Dollars or more. |
