Transparent Adsense Background

I am trying to add a small transparent AdSense banner to the header section of http://www.placesun.co.uk, do you know if this is possible?

I've looked through all of the layouts on the AdSense site but cannot find an option and as the header background is an image this would not blend in well with a plain coloured background.

tia,
Kev

I don't think you could set the background to transparent.

I don't think you can either, thought it might be worth asking though.

Cheers anyway

This option is not available, but if you want to increase your clickthrough a bit, you should consider using Arial font instead of verdana on your site, because your adsense ads will blend more with the rest of your content

Thanks for the tip. That's a good idea, never thought of that before

Does it also help by setting the url link colour to be the same colour as the background of my page so that it is not displayed?

I just wondered as this way it won't look like an external link or is this something Google don't like you doing?

I don't remember it in the terms and conditions, but Google would probably not be very happy with you doing that...

I just tested it and the text defaulted to black instead of taking the background colour so it doesn't look like you can do it anyway.

I've tried to make my text fit in as best possible with the Google ad's and I seem to have got quite a few more clicks than usual today so it looks like it's helping.

Thanks a lot for the tip

Send a message via Yahoo to amitpatel_3001
I would also recommend you to remove the - Advertise on my site option.
No one will do that.
