CTR dead after redesign

Hi all, FTWLTR (First Time writer Long Time Reader)brbrI consider my site mature now, and I was earning small amount each day and it was getting bigger, however my site was also getting too big, as my index page was the site, bar a few off pages I was hosted. So I spent hours and hours redesigning the site, and splitting the topics into different pages. To get to the point, the site looks far better, and despite similar (actually slightly improved hits) my ePCM has dropped. I am also getting less clicks. I would of thought extending my site over several pages would increase if anything? its been changed for a couple of weeks now, and it is constantly low... any help would be much appreciatedbrHere are a comparision of the 2 homepages..brbrNEWbrhttp://www.budster.netbrOLDbrhttp://...brbrThanksbrbr

Hi,

Here are a few things you can try :

1. You might want to blend your ads colour a bit more with the site. All your other links are grey, try the same thing for the ads, and remove the black border (use the same colour as your background).

2. The ads on the old page were on the left side, which mean people saw that first. Now they are on the righ side, this might have lower your CTR. Try inverting the latest news and the adsense ads

3. The other thing is that you have a lot of pictures in the first fold, so the eyes is atracted away form the ads.

Try a few changes, then do nothing for a few days and see if the results improve. Then try other things for a few days and so on.
