Google was at my site, but didn't answer Q.
I sent Google an email because I wanted to make certain a particular
site of mine complied with all adsense terms and policies BEFORE I put their code on it. It's important that I know because of the work and kind of commitment the site will carry with it. I didn't want to hear later, "This is against Adsense policy". (God forbid if I ever sold the site and Google later comes around and informs the buyer this site violates adsense policy). So I needed an answer and Google even WENT TO MY COMPLETED SITE (except for adsense ads) AND LOOKED because I have the stat info to prove it. They could have easily told me if it violated any policy to put adsense on the site but instead they sent me this reply:br br "Thanks for your email. I understand you'd like to display Google ads onbr your new website.br br You're welcome to place Google ads or an AdSense for search box on anybr website that complies with our program policiesbr (a href="http://www.google.com/adsense/policies%29" target="_blank"http://www.google.com/adsense/policies)/a. There's no need for us to reviewbr the site beforehand - simply copy and paste the ad code or search codebr onto your website, and we'll automatically detect and serve ads to the newbr site. For specific instructions on implementing the Google code, pleasebr visit a href="https://www.google.com/adsense/quickstart" target="_blank"https://www.google.com/adsense/quickstart/a.br br Please note that we monitor all sites displaying Google ads or an AdSensebr for search box to ensure compliance with our program policies. Any sitebr that is in violation of our policies will be contacted and asked to removebr the Google code.br br For additional questions, we suggest you visit our AdSense Support site atbr a href="https://www.google.com/support/adsense" target="_blank"https://www.google.com/support/adsense/a . If you're unable to find anbr answer to your question on our site, please feel free to reply to thisbr email.br br Sincerely,br "br br br img src="http://forums.digitalpoint.com/images/smilies/frown.gif" alt="" title="Frown" class="inlineimg" border="0"!-- / message --!-- controls -- |

Well, it is a very large program. To specifically pre-aprove every website that's applying would take a lot of manpower.brIs there something particular in the program policies that you're unsure of?brIf so, you should ask around, or ask them a specific question (which would be more likely to get a plain response).brbrGenerally speaking, people that are span style="font-style: italic;"that/span concerned about this are either skating too close to the edge of legitimacy, or just compulsive worriers. I suspect you are in the latter category.br

br Yes, two things. Video and Adsense search engines.br br I see people with adsense ads on pages with video players.br br Andbr br I see people with so-called "adsense search engines" that don't necessarily have content on their main page but links at the bottom to articles. When I ask, these people tell me their sites comply with all adsense policies. When I try to ask Google they send me emails like the one above.br |

Well, I don't pretend to be an Adsense expert, so you should see if you get a response from someone who isbr(wait and see, or put this in the subject line of a new thread).brbrBut, in my opinion, the program policies look fairly clear.brbrI don't see anything that would prohibit a video player. But, you'd have to make sure that the content of the site conforms to other standards, such as 'no adult content', and that the site does not contain any reproduction of copywrited material.brThey say that br
