Adsense Feature Additions | March 2006

Quote:
What's New - March 2006
Code generation - simplified and streamlined
We've streamlined the process for generating your ad and search code. Our guided code creation now makes it easier than ever to create new ads or search boxes that will fit your site. As part of this update, we've consolidated your AdSense for content, AdSense for search, and Referrals tabs into just one AdSense Setup tab - it's the new all-purpose location for code creation and discovering new AdSense features, like referrals.

Separate reports by targeting type

We now offer more detailed reports about the type of ad targeting you're displaying on your pages. See how much of your traffic is viewing site-targeted CPM ads and how much is viewing contextually-targeted CPC ads. To view separate reports for contexual targeting and site targeting, visit your Advanced Reports page. From there, choose AdSense for content as the product, select to show data by individual ad unit, and click the checkbox marked Show data by targeting type - contextual or site. Then generate a report as usual.

Referral reports added

In addition, we've added advanced reports for referrals - you can now track your clicks, sign-ups, conversions and earnings over a more flexible date range. Haven't tried referrals yet? View our FAQ or add a referral button to your site today to generate even more earnings.

I think it is also visually more interesting in the account. Maybe they see all the other Adsense trackers popping up everywhere!

Luni,

More ads don'T mean more money necessarely.. because the high paying ads are at the top of your page, and the lower paying ads are on the lower part of your page... sometime it is better to stick to 1-2 ad block anf at the bottom of your page you invite your visitor to click on an internal link to another page in your site.

But again... you won't know until you test
