Google Logo
Hello. Newbie here. I am trying to get started with the adsense for search. When I set up the code I made sure to use the "Google Search" on the button option without the Google logo. But when I paste it into my web page the Google logo shows up and messes with my formatting.
When I posted the page it was not there but it still shows up when I am working on it in dreamweaver. Any ideas? |

brIf you could post the link to the page or pm me, I'll be glad to look at the code.brbrIt's impossible to say without looking at the html.brbrI also use dreamweaver, not that it makes a difference.brbrHi, I pasted the code from the test page into my dreamweaver mx2004.
No google logo shows up in the preview panel or when I open it in my browser from dreamweaver ( F12 )br br Here is the code snippet that specifically displays the logo for google.br br <a href="http://www.google.com/">br <img src="http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_25wht.gif" border="0" alt="Google" align="middle"></img></a>br br All I can suggest is do a search "entire site" "source code" in dreamweaver for "google.com/logos" and see if anything comes up. Then replace the entire code from adsense again with the options mentioned to not display the logo.br br Hope that helps.brbr |

Could there be a setting in Dreamweaver I am missing? I searched for the google.com/logo as suggested but did not find it. It is not in the adsense for search code or I would have changed it by now.
Does anybody out there have the same problem???? I am getting frustrated because I can't format the page correctly. |

I'm stumped too. My dreamweaver shows everything as it should. brbrAre you using templates? If so, check the template for logo. The template html will override the html in the page.brbralthought the search mentioned above should have pick this up and the test page you sent me doesn't show any template code.brbrI did notice this snippet of code in your html that is making the first column of your table 566 wide instead of 170. It's on line 213.brbr<table width="170" border="0" cellpadding="0">br </table>bra href="http://deja.us/snippet.jpg"img src="http://deja.us/t-snippet.jpg"/abrCLICK TO ENLARGEbrbrLet us know if that was it!brbrbr

This may be stupid, but I know when I save a page I'm working on in dreamweaver, then hit f12 to view it in explorer, explorer will not always show the latest file saved. So I hit f5 to refresh the screen to see the new version.
also, the url displayed in the screenshot is confusing me a bit. When I do a pageview from dreamweaver, it shows me a url directly to the page, not a temporary file like shown in your screenshot. So it's possible the page your looking at is not the page your working on. Here is the url I see when I do f12 from dreamweaver: D:\h2o\deja.us\test.htm It points directly to the file that I pasted your code into. Your url for the page you gave me should look something like c:\nawic\publictemplatetest.htm |

I could be off, but if you are using tables or dividers and you place it in there and it is too long it can mess up your layout causing it to look wrong....For example say the table you are putting it in is only 30 chars long and the search bar is 31, it can and probably will mess up your whole layout...Meaning it will throw off all your tables and not just that one. There is a thing when you get your code for the search bar to make the search box shorter...I think the default is 31 I think I had to change mine to like 25...which reallydoesn't make tat big of a difference...

Well. I think I have sort of figured it out. It has something to do with a setting/preference in DW. I tried it on another machine with a fresh install of the DW MX and it was fine. So, I just switch to another computer to work on it.
