Desktop missing from google page

By default it appears without the "desktop" option. I am sure I'm missing something obvious but how can I get the desktop option to appear whenever I open my browser.brbr[Firefox v1.5.0.2 and W2K sp4]brbrTIAbr/b/font

That's funny. Its the same for me. I didn't notice it before, as its not exactly great cause for ceremony. But its definitely strange.
