Can't connect to Gmail - but firewall is okay?

Hi, I'm using the latest version of GDS, and I'm getting the 'Unable to connect to Gmail. Possible firewall configuration issue' error. So, you say, check your firewall

But as far as I can see it's fine:

What can I do? I am using the internet through a Smoothwall box - I've tried fowarding port 995 through to my computer but it doesn't help. No program has ever had a problem using the internet from my computer, except GDS trying to index Gmail

Obviously something is wrong, but I can't see what.

I have the same problem. It seams to be related to my account and nothing to do with my setup.

A while ago I got my password wrong a few times while logging into the web mail, and ever since then I've been blocked from accessing my Gmail account via pop3 or SMTP. Since the sidebar email appears to use pop3 it also fails with the error already given.

I created a new account for myself and that works, but I don't want to throw away my old account and all those emails! Does anyone know a way to re-activate my account properly? I've tried changing the password, and also deactivating and reactivating pop3 access in the account settings.
