Desktop search takes too much disk space

My C: partition is almost full. There is a Google search file about 3.5 GB. May I configure it to be in other partition? Otherwise I ought to uninstall this very useful software.

use TweakGDS software available from http://www.podsync.com/tweakgds.htm. You need dot net frame work to use this software.

I have google desktop with all options "on"; one gmail account and one main user on a new pc, installed november 2008 (win xp sp3). Currently google desktop consumes more then 4 Gb hard disk space (doc and settings/user/local settings/application data/google/google desktop)!!!

I find this abhorrent; my windows system file is not even that large!
