Indexing of external USB drives under Vista

Hi all,

I have been using GDS for some time now under windows XP and was very satisfied, I used the GDS for Enterprises to be able to search lotus notes archives as well. This worked well.

Now I purchased a new laptop PC from HP very recently with Windows Vista and Office 2007. I first installed GDS for Enterprises, but then discovered it doesnt support Vista yet and removed it again, afterwards I installed the normal version. I'm using two external hard drives over USB. It succesfully indexed one drive once, now it has just stopped indexing no matter what I try. Can anybody help?
