Hi.
I have just updated to the latest version and keep getting the same error message. My gmail account is running and open, so I don't know why there is a "problem connecting" to it. My firewalls are not the problem. Also, I am trying to search my desktop for stuff such as a complete list of all my installed software, added Search Engines etc. Is this possible, or am I just not searching correctly? I am using Firefox as my browser. Help !! Thanks One-time indexing of your Gmail in progress. Indexing is performed when your computer is idle. Index now (may slow down your computer). Warning: Google Desktop encountered a problem that requires your help to fix. Fix this problem. Unable to connect to Gmail. Possible firewall configuration issue. Please check that port 995 is not blocked by your firewall or contact your system administrator for help. Google Desktop will try to connect to Gmail every 10 minutes until this problem is fixed or Gmail search is disabled. |
