My GDesktop takes up 238MB
I don't know what's wrong with it, one day I just checked my Google Desktop search file and find it is 238 MB! So I unstall GD immediately.
Is there a problem with Google Desktop search? |

Whoa. That is an unusual sight. I've only used GDS once, and uninstalled shortly after, due to the fact that I did not like it. It could be that you have a lot of files, and in order to index them, a reasonable amount of space is required to cache them into the resource file, but 238 megabytes is an absurd numerical value...

Amazing...
I can't really understand why Google Desktop takes up so much space for some people. Even I've got Google Desktop and it takes up just 5.19 MB, which is quite less when compared to 238 or 324 MB. And, just to verify it, let me tell you that Google Desktop indexes everything on my computer - that includes files, web history and e-mails. So I really can't understand why there is a problem. Can you please tell me how you checked the amount of space Google Desktop occupied on your computers?
