I have been waiting for GMail to be indexed, for at least 2 days.
The machine gets very slow and eventually the downloading from gmail.com appears to abort. I have also tried to use "Larry's GMail Indexer" - every 30 minutes, I get the following message in the log: 'Failed to download new Gmail messages: 'No data was received.' I am seriosly considering forgetting about trying to index my Gmail and to use Google Desktop 2 purely for file searching and not for e-mail. Comments would be appreciated, before I pull the plug. |

I think GDS adds new data if GDS is running while the new files are opened or closed. But what if they are not being used? |
