Sidebar: Left or Right

I have a weird problem. The sidebar slides out fine with all the panel information when positioned on the right side of the screen. If I move it over to the left side, it opens with blank panels first when my mouse is over it. When I move the mouse away, it slides off-screen and then if I open it again, all the info is there. This happens both on my home and work computers. Any ideas?

Well...

Well, I don't know about the panels not displaying any information, but I can say something about the Sidebar disappearing when you move your mouse pointer away from it - maybe you've enabled the auto-hide feature.

If you're wondering what the auto-hide feature is, let me tell you that if you enable it, the Sidebar appears to disappear (but it does not actually happen). Then, if you move your mouse pointer over the side end (be it lef or right) of the screen, the Sidebar reappears. And again, if you move your mouse pointer away from it, it appears to disappear.

the google bar...

Not meaning to say that its any problem with the google bar, but how about you format and re-install. I used to have the problem that i would make changes and sometimes when i rebooted my machine they would have reverted. I just downloaded the latest build and that worked a treat...

Might be right. But don't follow what his signature says (if all else fails, give up!).

when all else fails

it means when you have tried absolutely everything, then give up, its paradoxical! if you have tried everything then you have to give up cause there is nothing left to try any longer! i think it suits when you're a system administrator faced with strange windows problems that just don't go away and don't have a solution

Well, I believe in "try, try and try until you can't try any more".
