Unfortunetely it scrunches the open windows up. It would be better, in my opinion, if it was transparent, rather than solid.

I totally agree with Andrew247. The sidebar should be optionally variably transparent, sit on top of the normal page view, and not mess up my desktop icons or shrink my work page. It´s a major disincentive to have the Sidebar open for those of us who work, raher than play with our PCs. I use the Deskbar to avoid the problem, which kind of kills off the whole purpose, doesn´t it.

I love to search with Google Desktop. Actually, I downloaded a lot of plugins for it. Some of my favorite features are:brbrspan style="font-style: italic;"1. /spanspan style="font-weight: bold;"FishTank (plugin):/span These fish are really cool. Actually, they are really funny how they swim around. And, you even get to get them some food. brbrspan style="font-style: italic;"2. /spanspan style="font-weight: bold;"News:/span I usually get mose of my news from the news toolbar...brbrspan style="font-style: italic;"3. /spanspan style="font-weight: bold;"Calendar(plugin):/span It's like Works Calendar, except it starts when Windows does, so you don't forget things.brbrspan style="font-style: italic;"4./span span style="font-weight: bold;"Search:/span I find things a LOT faster with this, the Search program that comes with Windows is really slow.brspan class="gen"/spanbr

Talking about the Google Desktop Sidebar.....and it scrunching up the windows....I have a problem. I installed Goodgle Desktop, the Sidebar automatically installed, once I realised that I didn't need it I deactivated it HOWEVER since then all my windows ares still scrunched up and I have to expand the windows every time I open or reopen my programs or windows.

Can anyone be so kind as to provide me with some assistance, it would greatly appreciated.

I used it for a week and the main reason I uninstalled it was because it was solid and not transpartent. When they improve it ill use it again.

brbrSame with me. I actually love it and want to use it. I've installed it 3 times only to uninstall it again. img src="/richedit/smileys/Teasing/15.gif" border="0" brbrI also would love it to be transparent, and it slows up my PC more than I'd like. Looking forward to the next update. br
