Maybe you try uninstalling Google Desktop Search, and then reinstall it after your presentation.
Error 0xc0000142:

Error 0xc0000142 or X-Win32 crash

If you get the message "Error 0xc0000142", or one of the error messages mentioned at the bottom, this is usually caused by one of 3 things listed below. If these solutions do not solve the problem, please click "No" at the bottom of this page and complete the support inquiry form on the subsequent page as we are eager to get the user feedback that will let our engineers resolve this issue.

First, try rebooting the X-Win32 system and see if that helps. If it doesn't fix the issue, try one of these other solutions:

1. X-Win32 was corrupted during the installation.

Solution: Uninstall X-Win32 and re-install the program. This time close as many programs and windows as possible. Disable anti-virus if possible.

2. X-Win32 is being interfered with by another running application(s).

Solution: Reboot your computer and then only run X-Win32. Add applications until you discover which application is interfering with X-Win32. Usually McAfee or other anti-virus products interfere with X-Win32. Try uninstalling those applications. If that is not an acceptable solution, try starting X-Win32 first, and then start McAfee. McAfee locks some files that X-Win32 needs so it prevents X-Win32 from working. Usually if you start X-Win32 first, then you can start McAfee and they will coexist. If McAfee is starting as a service, stop the service, start X-Win32, then restart McAfee.

3. During install you were logged into the Windows machine as a non-administrator and X-Win32 is not able to store settings to the registry.

Solution: Uninstall X-Win32, reboot your PC and log in as the administrator (on Windows XP you can switch to the Administrator account). Reinstall X-Win32 and return to your user account.
