Start with with Hybrid Google map

I have few websites where I am using Google map with Census data. By default Google map show up with normal map mode. I would like to start my Google map with Hybrid map option....based on where image is available that particular zoom extent. Is it possible if yes…..anyone directs me to any resource or gives me direction?
