Google Guru

Well, America and other such countries are much more technologically advanced, and so many more users are from such countries. This way, if a map showing America is made, many more people will consult that, as compared to a map of India. This is a tactic used by most online companies, and its not limited to only maps and other such things. The company (in this case, Google) might not really make a profit if less people see what they do.
Another reason could be that many satellites haven't been trained on India, but this is rather unlikely. Then, of course, it could be that Google just doesn't like Indian, though that's rather impossible. |
