Google Maps

Google is now working on a maps feature. It's pretty cool, and I think it's much better than Yahoo! Maps. It is certainly more efficient at finding the address of the place you're looking for.

The only improvement I could think to suggest right now is that, along with a main map of the entire route, that a smaller, more detailed map of the general area around the destination is provided. In fact, I wouldn't mind if, when you want to print your map, you could customize it as to what maps exactly you want to print out.

Might I also note that, when you print out a map, the little thumbtack things end up covering up some of the map with a little rectangle showing exactly where the image of the thumbtack is.

Keep in mind, folks, that it's still in Beta. It's capabilities should expand quite a bit by the time Beta is over with.

Google really put a lot of effort into their Google Maps project. Once Google releases international maps proceeding the end of their beta-testing period and expands to France, my spider-sense tells me that I am going to have a lot of fun nuking France with NetDisaster. .

Google Maps

I really like Google Maps because when you print them out there aren't all the advertisements like on Yahoo!

Google Maps, however they are in beta, they are already great. The Frappr.com uses this technology for making maps showing location of members of international on-line communities. Maybe someone should put up something like that for GC?

And NetDistatser is greeat

Someone (Zima) actually did. But it got lost in an old thread in chat. I keep thinking someone should start a dedicated thread for it.

Cool I didn't know that actually Zima is a Pole... Well, I should thought about that, cuz Zima means Winter in our language.

Woot... Little Pavarr not stranded alone opposite the big bad world
