Get building height - google maps

Hello!

Has any one of you tried to get a building height? I know, that google maps doesn't support such an option, but I saw somewhere in the insternet on some forum, that somebody estimated the building height, basing on contours of building (by performing image processing to detect building edges). But how could I get a screenshot of a google map. Does any one know? I'd be very grateful...
