Google Earth

Hi
I need some advice please. I've downloaded Google Earth for my parents. The software is there and they can open it up but soon after that, it locks. Any thoughts greatfully appreciated!
Thanks

Make sure the PC meets Google Earth's minimum configuration:

* CPU speed: IntelŪ PentiumŪ PIII 500 MHz
* System memory (RAM): 128MB
* 200MB hard-disk space

Also note that Google Earth is Beta Software.

You might try adjusting the Graphic mode between DirectX and OpenGL along with adjusting the texture color -- and pay really close attention to "network speed of 128kbs or higher"... Just some thoughts.

I have a problem with Google Earth. MY PC is way way above the required spec but I get an error every time I start it, whether I use the link to google earth, or change to opengl/directx.

Error goes a bit like this:
Quote:
The application failed to initialize properly. Click on OK to terminate the application
I havent tried it on my other PC though, which is also over spec.

Reinstalling is always best. Also try a different mode.
