If you have the latest version of Google Earth, Under the Places area There should be a sightseeing folder. Area 51 is in there. Otherwise:

I bet that 'area 51' has been made up or copyed from other places, because it doesn't look like this arial photo from the 80's.

Yeah, you've been able to see this for the longest time, but no one cared to mention it. It's old news to me. There are better pictures too than the ones that were posted.

How do we know the pictures are even of area 51?
It looks like a normal air force base or possibly just an aerodrome to me. And if it was supposedly hidden, why is there a named public road going to it?

Why would US government blank it out?
Look, if there's something secret/important for security, you even haven't heard about it. Example: NSA - much morepowerfull than CIA...but nobody knew it even existed for several decades.
