Hm... Watching planes land?

I found this site, it lets you watch planes land on runways. I was just thinking... Whats the point?

Some people like having flight trackers to see if like a family member made it safely to the airport or where they are currently at in the sky. I find it pretty neat.

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
It's actually fairly interesting subject matter, compaeed to same other things that are out there.
Just look at the number of odd, boring things that people have web-cams pointed at. Street corners, empty rooms, plants.
No matter what, somebody comes along and stares.

Really cool, it could actually be useful for getting an idea of how far a friend has left to travel.brbr-Metroid48br

not to rain on your guys' parade, but what makes you so sure you are going to be able to identify your friend/family's flight? Surely there are a lot of 747's out there and you are not going to know / see the tail number so....is it truely a useless web cam after all?

nevermind, I see that you can enter the flight number at the web site. Pretty cool, if you have flying paranoia

What is pointless

Pointless would be typing on a chat that something else is pointless right.....!!!....????

I would like to see google maps in more detail (like area 51), or at least up to date.

It makes you wonder what the hubble teleskope is really for?
