google maps and flash

First time on this site - Was hoping someone could tell me if it is possible to place a google map within flash

I would assume that it would need to be in a frame on the flash site. What exactly are you trying to do??? Are you trying to keep it interactive?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm building a flash site for a hairdressers. The friend I'm building it for, wanted a map on his site of where his shop is - I thought the best way to go was google maps, as it was free and it wouldn't cost anything and the maps look pretty good. I am not sure exactly how google maps work

Keeping it interactive isn't a real necessity, but it would be nice to know for future reference.

Have you downloaded the API and it's accompanying documentation? If not go here....

Also, I am still working on my web dev skills so I am not that familiar with Flash capabilities as of yet. Hopefully someone here can lend a hand in helping you do this.

Hi there,

I have got an API key. I myself am learning web dev too.

I haven't figured out how to get the actual URL of the map though and then place it within a html page.
