Own pins on Google Maps

Hi all
Complete and avid fan and I use Google Maps for work and pleasure every day.
One question though - does anyone know how add one's OWN pin to a map when the postcode or address is not completely accurate for a print to give to someone else?

ctrl N and it adds a pin, you can move it around before adding text
