Google toolbar error shutting down my IE browser

Starting just today I started getting pop-up boxes notifying me that there was an error in the Google toolbar and my IE browser was shutting down. I uninstalled the Google toolbar and re-installed it, but the error message re-appeared, so I've uninstalled it again.

Not finding an email contact address for Google, I called their California offices, and after a few minutes of phone tree info and finally reaching Customer service/tech support I then heard a message saying they do not provide customer service....go to web site for whatever you need..@#%!$^&!


I found this forum from a quick web search and would like to know if anyone else is suddenly experiencing a problem with error messages arising from their Google toolbar which ends up closing down their Internet Explorer browser?


I don't know what else I can do besides what I've already done, which was to uninstall, re-install the toolbar, which didn't help the problem. Any suggestions for solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
