Remove toolbar button: "Click to sign in to your Google Account"

I've been able to figure out how to add and remove several buttons from my G toolbar but there's one that I can't seem to get rid of.

It's the green circle (sometimes gray) that says, "Click to sign in to your Google Account".

Anyone know how to remove that from the toolbar?

    Thanks,
    John

    "system start up page"?

    Can you be more specific?

system start up page for the google toolbar?

How do I access this startup page?

Thanks so much for your help
