i cant configure gtalk to work with msn and aol etc.. please

That's only because you can't. Only Gmail users can use Google Talk. Not MSN and AOL users.

sprintmedia if you would like a Gmail address so you can use Google Talk you can ask at the Gmail Invitations thread in the Gmail forum!

i have heard that googletalk is jabber compatible so he should be able to add msn and aim as transports.thats how jabber clients are.well i am not familiar with googletalk to i don't know googletalk supports external transports or not.but he should have a gmail account for sure to be able to use google talk and register the transports if available.

I don't think Google Talk supports this??? If it was it would more than likely be well known and used!

I don't know why you guys are saying that this can't be done... Do you have any idea how Jabber works? Please do some research before completely misleading someone.
