Access GMail from GTalk

When you click the mail icon on GTalk, the email page loads on an existing open window. It is better if it opens a new window. I think Google should correct this. Any idea how to avoid it in the first place?

Why don't you check the Gmail/Gtalk options,

Now...Chrome arrived..please..use Gmail by this browser.
