can't minimize?
so i use g talk at work a bunch. most of time you can barely tell its there, other times it totally busts me.
lets say i'm gtalking to some one and the dialogue box is on top of whatever excel spreadsheet i'm pretending to work on. i send my message then instead of minimizing, i just click onto another window so as to make the dialogue box dissapear. it does go away however when i minimize all my windows in order to see my desktop, sure enough there is the dialogue box. i click on the minimize icon and nothing happens. its just stuck there on my desktop and the only way i can make it go away from the desktop is to X out of it. anyone else seeing this or am i just g talking WAY to much at work? |

Thats what is suposed to happen! That is what happens with all programs!
If you have 3 windows opened Word Excel G-talk (and your chatting with someone) You should have a total Of 4 windows open 1 ( for word) 1 ( for Excel) 2 ( For G-talk) Now ... all of your windows are open your working in Excell and you see the person your chatting with typed something so you click on their (task bar icon) and it pulls that window directly to the top of all your windows. You type your reply and then click back on to your Excel Spread sheet. If you minimize your windows G-talk will not be minimized it will still be opened! In order to minimize your actual G-talk (not a chat conversation) You have to click on the X this will minimize the actual G-talk program (you have to right click on the on the task tray icon to exit the program! |
