It does look a little 'unfinished'. But I think that it's partially the heavy border that emphasizes the areas that look 'empty'.

Take the original image and crop a piece of that and paste that into a new document, then add the text to it...

Thanks for the pic, I was wondering where are the gunz people get that...

Heres what I mean ^^. Please note I used Photoshop Elements and thats about the same use as mspaint. Plus I can't install any fonts on this comp...

You'd have to fiddle the size, a little. It looks to be about 40 pixels too tall.

You should have a look at the freeware program Irfanview.
http://www.irfanview.com/

It's an excellent 'everyday' image viewer, and makes cropping, resizing, adding text, changing formats, etc. extremely simple and easy.

It could help you with some simple designs in conjunction with, and while you're learning to use one of the more complex programs.

Adobe Photoshop is the best you can really find, but if your looking for something free try. Ulead Photoimpact. http://www.ulead.com should have a download of a 30-day trial for free, but after that you’ll have to pay for the use of it. (At £79.99, it’s well worth the price if you want to get into editing images but can’t afford to shell out for Photoshop)
