Nice. I prefer the lettering on the second one.
(I guess you know though, that they're a little over the 100 pixel height restrictions for this forum.)

Okay, resized and a little bit edited version:

Looks pretty good. Except that the text now overlaps a 'light' area, making the "172" a little indistinct with the lack of contrast
(and partially obscuring the face in kind of an odd way).

Those are pretty good. I like the style.

Again though, a little problem with legibility of the text.(Although only a concern if you are concerned. Some people don't think it's important.)
Me, I'd do something to make the text stand out a little more, even if it's just a little bit of blur or shadow around or 'behind' it in a slightly darker colour for contrast.
What program are you making these in?

Get Photoshop, GIMP is okay but if you want good quality get PS.
