There are any number of things you can do to improve your page ranking. Here are a few:

1. Content - fresh informative and relevant content. The Spyders love good content.

2. Back links - lots of good ways to get these. One of the best i have found is by joining and contributing in online forums, and by blogging, and comenting on other people's blogs. Another way is to write good articles relevant to your website's theme, and get them published in places like ezine articles.

3. Good Keywords and Metatags, in other words SEO. You want good meta title and descriptions as well as relevant keywords to your site's content and subject matter.

4. Get Traffic. All of the above will bring traffic, but you may need to buy some as well. The important part here is the visitors need to come from uinique ip's. You can buy leads with redirects to your site, you can advertize online, you can advertise offline. You can buy traffic from traffic vendors, but be careful here. Make sure you are getting visitors from different ip addresses, as i said earlier.
