Even though his offer is not spam, it still comes off as such because his story sounds so extraordinary it's hard to believe. Earning $3 million teaching piano comes off as belonging in the same category as claims that you can "lose 50 lbs in 2 weeks" or that you can "earn $50,000 from the comfort of your own home."

Interesting idea, but what's "non-spamy"? The reason they use long salesletters it that they work: supposedly, they get conversion rates around 10-15%, meaning that for a targeted audience, 10-15% of the people who see the salesletter end up buying.

I've always wondered why someone who has a wonderful, profitable business would want to go around selling me their secrets and advice, instead of sticking with their known-good business.
There's a Donald Trump advertisement on the radio that's the same thing. Seems fishy to me, but hey, I'm a cynic. This whole thing is probably a marketing ploy to get people to sign up, and the OP gets a cut. Hey, prove me wrong. Oh, ok - editing to add: To me, this is spammy-looking because there are no independent references. I googled Jermaine griggs, and all I found was his marketing. I checked him on wikipedia, and there are NO references for the claims. Link to an article on a reputable site, and your credibility will skyrocket. On the internet, you are whatever you portray yourself to be. There's no indication his history or sales figures are legit. Last edited by Onodrim; 11-05-2007 at 06:49 AM. |

Teaching people how he sells his piano courses is real. He even released a series of free videos as a sample of what he shows inside the Nitty Gritty Marketing course. These videos are totally free, no signup or anything required. What do you think of them? |
