Hello to everyone. My name is Larry McKnight.

Thanks ahead of time for welcoming me into the community.

I work for a company called LearningRx. Recently, I took over the company's web responsibilities in a management role (rather than as a developer) so I am moving into the use of Google analytics and other metrics tools to try to guide our web presence to be more useful to our parents and searchers and more helpful as a promotional tool for our franchisees. This is my main reason for joining, but as I browse around I am beginning to suspect that I will pick up a lot more stuff that what I suspected.

I live in the Colorado Rockies in a little town called Divide. My wife, Vickie, and I have a home at 9100 feet elevation near the back side (west) of Pikes Peak. I commute to Colorado Springs most days for work. It is about a 50 minute drive down a lovely stretch of Highway 24 through what is known here as Ute Pass (for the original Indian inhabitants.) Especially at this time of year, every morning can look different. Springs seeping out of the highway cuts are frozen into small ice waterfalls, and the frost and sunshine can make everything seem a little magical. Vickie and I enjoy Colorado a lot. It is even better because my daughter and son-in-law live here and we have a 5-year-old grandson. He's a hoot...he keeps me younger than I really am!

LearningRx is a cognitive skills testing and training company. We have a little over 60 training and testing centers across the country. Primarily, we work with kids who struggle to learn and read as a result of one or more cognitive skills weaknesses. Cognitive skills are the underlying mental skills such as auditory processing or memory that enable us all to learn. It is a pretty satisfying company to work for. the stories of the changes in the kids are very inspiring.

Hobbies center around building stuff around the house, trail riding in my Jeep Wrangler (once the snow melts), and staying involved with friends through church. My wife is a rabid Denver Broncos fan (it was a pretty disappointing year this year, but we have hope!) We have a Toy Poodle named Fred and a Soft-Coat Wheaton Terrier named Ian...Fred is the boss.

I guess the last thing I will share is about a Christmas present I got this year. It is a shiatsu massage recliner. About all I can say about it is that I am rapidly becoming a vibrating recliner potato...I love it!

If you read this far you are undoubtedly an extraordinarily relational, kind, and patient person. I hope you will be the one to answer the first really dumb question I post.
