To chat professionally you must first know how to speak and write professionally.

Many companies have chatting systems on their websites which allows a user to instantly chat with a company representative. The chatter on the other end is usually a trained representative with proper reading and writing skills.

Some companies have AIM, ICQ, MSN chat, etc as their chatting outlets. these work fine as long as your other user has the chatting program.

All in all, to use a chat professionally you must be professional about it. Remember your not chatting to your friends, dont use slang and words like "u, cuz, and prolly".

Do some research, go to big company websites and chat with them. See how they respond to you and how they answer your questions.

Hope this helped.

No problem jabo

I mean we chat all day. You probably have your chatting software running right now. Why not use it to benefit your customer relations and services. Communication with your customers and interested prospects is vital. The more ways you have for your clients to content you the better. I like to call it customer reassurance. It gives them a sense of security knowing they can contact you any way possible.

Plus it has the potential to save you tons of money on your phone bill.

Just a word of advice. If you are going to use your personal AIM or profile for business, CHANGE the content on your profile. Dont leave song lyrics or links to your myspace in your profile lol.
