Smile Hi...Just have some questions on pagerank

I just wondered how often Google increases pagerank. I wanted to know if you can request Google to consider increasing your pagerank somehow. Thank you.

Your page rank is dependent on many factors.
It is not something you can request to be increased.

    Your page rank depends on.

    Domain active history.
    How many Links you have.
    Your average traffic intake.
    Amount of content on site.

    And much more.

How long has your website been up and whats your current PR?

Page rank has nothing to do with:

    Domain active history
    Your average traffic intake
    Amount of content on site

It is entirely controlled by links to your site. However, page rank is not an indication of traffic. Some say that page rank has little impact now, it is just a metric.

Page rank is also updating constantly. Toolbar page rank is just a snap shot of the actual, constantly fluctuating page rank. It updates every few months. But just forget about it.

Your best bet is to focus on current traffic, look for trends, and build on success.

PR is important, but the main parameter for SERP. Consider other factors such as backlinks, domain age, keyword density, meta tags.

    My Rebuttal

    • PageRank Technology: PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.
PageRank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. We have always taken a pragmatic approach to help improve search quality and create useful products, and our technology uses the collective intelligence of the web to determine a page's importance.
With over 500 Variables riding on your page rank im sure history and traffic do play a role in your PR. May not be as big of a factor as the amount of links you have but its still at factor.
