I just discovered this! I somehow have unlimited text messages in my Cingular plan. But like everyone else I'd have to pay extra for mobile internet. So Google SMS goes a long way.

In my experience so for, Google replies to me either instantly or within a couple minutes. What can be annoying is how some messages have to be split up in several messages.

The SMS access to Google Calendar is just great, especially the way you can add an event.

Yes, most of sms provider provide API to send sms online.
