The Ultimate CD Collection

This is simple, really.

I'm at the age now where I'm looking to really increase the size of my music collection, CDs-wise, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to be doing so.

So which albums do you think should be in every music fan's collection, and why? I have just one thing to say, though - they can't be too generically-strong. Why?

It's has to be included for covering the best 6 years of guns n roses including the songs Knockin' on heavens door, you could be mine and the most famous song from them Sweet child O'mine. The ablum can be picked up for about £14 on ebay.

A other favorite ablum Definitely Maybe by Oasis it has to be put in somewhere it with tracks such as Rock 'n' Roll Star, Shakermaker ,Live Forever and was in Q Magazine Ultimate Music Collection, You can find find it around for as cheap as £6.

Though it's not the ultimate CD collection, I've only one suggestion: Enigma! Those are the only ones that I bother to collect, CDs don't come cheap here (although cheaper than where you are).

MCMXC a.D. (released in 1990)
The Cross of Changes (1993)
Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! (1996)
The Screen Behind the Mirror (2000)
Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits (2001)
Love Sensuality Devotion: The Remix Collection (2001)
Voyageur (2003)

So far I only have MCMXC a.D., LSD: TGH & TRC and Voyageur, all are very good! Btw, you can hear some of their songs at http://enigmamusic.com/jukebox and videos at http://enigmavideos.com

The ultimate CD collection should include the following:

Lovebugs - Naked

The Beatles - 1
Lenny Kravitz - Greatest Hits
Craig David - Born to do it

Well...another CD to mention on here... Just bought the Bryan Adams ANTHOLOGY CD with two discs with many many songs on each of them (all the best hits including All for love, Summer of 69 and so on) plus a live DVD from a cool concert in Portugal with 22 songs...really great...worth every penny!!
