Ever liked a movie based on a Novel?

Most have been disappointments to me

but their have been a few I like.

Lord of the Rings series
Shawshank Redemtion
Movies Based on Books

I thought the Bond movies were pretty good, they were ofc based on the books by Ian Flemming, although i would have to say more recently they have lost a certain something, being a 70's kid, i am ofc from the school of thought that says Roger Moore is the best 007.
