Well, I live in India, so I watch mostly Hindi films, though I do watch English movies. The last one I saw was a Hindi one, "Veer-Zaara".

I really need to watch Advent Children...
I recently watched "Dancer in the dark", a Danish-funded, Palme d'or championing, artistic film starring Björk. Very touching indeed...

I think I've seen a few Hindi movies...One was called Sholay...which was good. Others were just...drama...

Then again, the others could've been Iranian, at the time, I understood neither Persian nor Hindi, so I can't remember...
It seems that there are more song intermissions than action in Hindi films.

I went to a Punjabi friend's house once, and he showed me some recent Hindi film. It was just too cheesy...yet it was very funny.

Yeah, Sholay was the biggest hit of the millenium. It ran at a theatre (in India) for six (6!!!) years straight! And I'm not joking.

I knew that it was the biggest commercial success among Hindi films, but didn't know that it ran for 6 years straight, which is a really cool fact!
