Simultaneous release of film online and in cinemas

A film by British director Michael Winterbottom is to become the first simultaneous cinema, DVD and online release, it has been reported. The Road To Guantanamo, to be premiered at Berlin Film Festival on Tuesday, will be shown on Channel 4 on 9 March, according to Screen Daily.It will be released on the three other platforms the following day.

Winterbottom's other film credits include 24 Hour Party People, Welcome To Sarajevo and A Cock And Bull Story.
