Notes functionality failures: 16 person "Google Apps F.Y.Domain" going nuts

Notes are really promising.
We understand they are in Beta.

If you can see something we're doing wrong please correct/guide. If not please direct us to where to post key critical feedback. Thanks!

1. Yes we learned
...the hard way you can NOT use a mailing list to invite multipal participants to collaborate on a shared Notebook. (grrrrr) So: 10 Notebooks x 16 users was a LOT of individual invites, but ok. We did it.
2. Yes we learned
...that even if our users are already signed-in and registered and participating in our "Google Apps For Your Domain" tools (customized "Start Page" of gadgets focused on our collaboration work, team email for our email address, shared calendar, etc), THEY STILL NEED TO CREATE A SEPARATE ACCOUNT for activating Google Labs products like Notes ("in beta").

All of that (1 & 2 above) seemed worth it for the functionality we demo'd and loved using personal google accounts a week ago (before building GAppsFYDomain account for our organization). No reason to figure we'd have an less functionality within our team ID's, right?).

So here's the problems we are facing today:
1. A set of shared Notebooks (the master set, ...the whole REASON for doing this!) was created then shared via a "comma separated" email list to each member of our team (note: NOT made "public"). The emails where received. At first demo/attempt a team-member opened his email clicked the link to accept the invitation to join/collaborate on that shared notebook. The notebook opened at their Google Notes page and they could read it, add to it, etc... HOWEVER:
a) he could NOT see the shared notebook in his Notebook extension window (we all run FFox and have this Google Notes extension installed/working)
b) when closing and re-opening his Google Notes management page the shared notebook was GONE.

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE??!?

Any help, insights or guidance here is very much appreciated!
